Augusta Hyland Wilson is a painter, printmaker, installation artist, and blogger based in Atlanta, Georgia yet proudly born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. Wilson received her BFA in Painting from the University of Georgia and MFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design-Atlanta. Wilson’s work focuses on the traditions of the Deep South, specifically those of her hometown, and questions their current place in the fast-paced society of today. Her blog focuses on what goes with being a young artist in Atlanta.
